England - Odds & Ends

A few more photos from our excellent English adventure:

England's women's team played the World Cup final the day we flew home.

This kid had the time of her life.

Hoping that this isn't the closest I get to Ireland.

England - Manchester

We spent the majority of time in Manchester and we really fell in love with the city. 

We spent over an hour exploring this cathedral, which was built before Columbus discovered America.

England - Man City v. Newcastle

On our last night in England, we were able to take in a Man City game, when they played Newcastle. Our seats were only three rows from the field and while we were all together as a group, we had plenty of "true" City fans around us, giving us a flavor for what the games are like - and when they didn't like how Man City played, they let them know! Man City won 1-0 and we were so lucky to see such a great game, and so many amazing plays up close. 

Kate has been my soccer ride-or-die since our girls started playing soccer together when they were 7 years old, so it was fitting that we were together on this trip and got to experience all of this with our daughters and each other.
